Farmer Leroy bought the family farm from his father in 1973. He built a dairy parlor and milked for over 13 years. Looking to expand, he moved the operation to the present location and built a poultry house, machine shop, storage building and silo, and renovated the existing barns.
Today, he and his son-in-law Bryan tend the chickens and care for 140 head of Angus beef cattle, plant and harvest crops, and maintain the pasture and the buildings.
Leroy finds satisfaction serving with a Christian ministries charitable organization, and assisting with disaster response cleanup and rebuilding.
